Paediatric Association of Macedonia (PAM) was founded in 1946 as a Macedonian Pediatric Society, and in 1991 was registered as PAM. This year is the 100 years anniversary of the birth of its first president \Haralampie Mancev. At the beginning there were only three pediatrics from the University Pediatrics Clinic and today its one of the associations with the largest membership in the Macedonian Medical Association with 550 members- specialist pediatrics, specialists of schoolchildren healthcare and medical doctors who work with children.
PAM mission is development of the medical science in the field of child healthcare, maintenance and promotion of the reputation and dignity of the medical profession and prevention of doctors' interests. The association is the main bearer of the constant professional development of medical doctors who take care about child health; it also organizes congresses, symposiums, professional meetings and pediatrics schools. Thus it maintains continuously the professional knowledge of its members and nourishes and develops the medical ethics. As a prominent activity is foundation of the Healthcare Reform Committee which is authorized to monitor the changes of healthcare policy regarding pediatrics child care. In 2006 the association started publishing its Pediatrics Newsletter. With this publication the members are informed about the activities of the association, and gradually it's becoming a Newsletter which publishes professional themes that interest all the members. The Pediatric Association is a member of numerous international associations as the International Pediatric Association (IPA), the Union of European Paediatric Societies and Associations (UNEPSA) and the European Paediatric Academy.
In the last few years the association has cooperated with other medical and organization with common interest for child's safety and healthcare. Thanks for these activities there have been associate membership with several companies in order to provide safe, carefree and healthy childhood.

Mission:
Pediatrics, collaborating with the other healthcare workers and with the population, too, will be the leaders in promotion of the physical, psychical and social health of all the children, and will provide the highest level of healthcare of children from 0 to 18 years.
